WHAT TO EXPECT

  • What are services like?

    Our services are warm, engaging, friendly, energetic gatherings where we declare God’s greatness through music, preaching and teaching, praying together, and through living life together in community.


    Our sanctuary holds approximately 300 people and in our style of worship we sing everything from songs you may have heard on the radio last week to songs written last century. All are welcome as we gather!


  • How long has Southern Lakes Church been around?

    We started as a Bible study in 1985. Services began at our current location on Easter of 2000.

  • What is available for my kids?

    During the 9:00 am and 10:30 am services we have age-appropriate activities for children from birth through 5th grade. Our caregivers, teachers, and leaders are prepared for your child to have the best possible experience each Sunday.


  • Do you have activities for Middle or High School students?

    We believe it is important for students to be involved in worshiping God with all generations of the church body. We strongly encourage students to take part in the Sunday worship service. We do hold activities and Bible studies for youth during the week.


  • Is there a place for me to grow?

    We offer Journey Groups that meet throughout the week in many neighborhoods around Elkhorn. Also, Bible studies for men, women, and youth are offered throughout the week. Please contact the church office for more details at slefc@slefc.org or 262-742-2366.

When to arrive?
Worship Services are at 9:00 and 10:30 am. If you are unable to attend church, our 10:30 service is also live streamed. 

Whether you are a life-long church attendee or someone who is just beginning to question what Jesus is all about, there is a place for you at Southern Lakes Church! We are privileged to have two worship gatherings each Sunday. Our sanctuary holds approximately 250 people and in our style of worship we sing everything from songs you may have heard on the radio last week to songs written last century. All are welcome as we gather!

Kids Connection for Nursery and preschool are offered at 9:00 am and 10:30 am every Sunday.

Where are you located?
Our address is N6686 US Hwy 12, Elkhorn WI 53121. The Church Location page will lead you to the church.

Ushers are available to assist you with finding a seat and settling into the service. Don’t worry, we won’t ask you to stand as a first-time guest or embarrass you in any way. We view ourselves as a family, and invite you to join us!

How many people attend on Sunday morning?
We average between 150 – 200 people during each service.

How many services do you have?
We offer two Worship Services at 9:00 and 10:30 am. Our 10:30 service is also live streamed. 

Do you have a cry room?
Yes we do. In the back of the auditorium there is a room which can be accessed from the commons. As you enter the church, the door is on the right hand side just before the doors to the auditorium. We call it the "Joyful Noise" room.  It's a great place to be a part of the service but not be concerned if your child is wanting to share their "joyful noises."
